FAQs

Are these screens hurricane-rated?

Our screens are hurricane-approved, by Florida Building Code High Velocity Horizon Zone (FBC HVHZ and non-HVHZ) and Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). You can rest assured your home or business is safe with our screens. Our screens also exceed all SMA 60001 requirements.

What colors are available?

Our standard screen frames are white, bronze, or beige. Custom frame colors are available at an additional cost and extended lead time.

When should I use an Egress Screen instead of a Fixed Screen?

Egress screens should always be used on all bedroom and basement windows for safety reasons. Unlike a fixed screen, egress screens have a continuous hinge on one side, and a panic bar on the other, allowing for emergency exits.

What are the maximum sizes?

The maximum size for our security screens is 61 in. x 144 in.

Can the screen mesh have a silver finish instead of a black one?

No, our security screen mesh is always black, ensuring optimal vision clarity by preventing light reflection. Lighter-colored screens like gray or silver can bounce light into your eyes, reducing visibility and compromising clarity.
